Information of any kind can be taken from the govt offices across the country.Information for example, a sample of material used in construction of Roads, bridges, drains etc. Information may be taken contained in a CD, Diskette, etc.
One thing here must be kept in mind is that, Audio, Video and CDs are chargeable in addition to the RTI Fee..DVDs, CDs carry charges of Rs 50 to Rs100. Those Below Poverty Line family are exempted from any Fees…they will be provided information free of cost.
Anybody can file RTI anywhere in India, for filing RTI you just need to write an application on a blank plain page by addressing to the public information officer of the organization concerned..In the subject column just write ” To seek information under the RTI act 2005. and afterwards write your queries point-wise, at the end of the application affirm that you are a citizen of India and seeking above information as a citizen, one thing to be noted here is that you need not to disclose your identity. before sending your application you need to attach an Rs 50 IPO along with the application. you will receive the information via registered mail.
